Elmwood ushers in new era focusing on core business activity
Bespoke joinery manufacture and fit out have long been at the heart of Elmwood’s core business activity – and never more so than now as the team forges ahead with further expansion of its portfolio of Museum & Heritage projects.
The move sees the winding down of the Group’s new-build construction and building contracting divisions in order that the team can focus more fully on the Museum & Heritage sector.
Explains Managing Director Alan Strachan: “In 2013 alone we’ve been awarded contracts for the Science Museum in London, Harris Museum in Preston, National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth, National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh and the new Bombay Sapphire Distillery & Visitor Centre in Hampshire, to name just a few.
“Museum & Heritage is a huge growth area for us, one where our core business activities of bespoke joinery manufacture and fit out expertise can add real value, so we’ll be channelling more and more of our energies into the sector.”
Underlining this commitment, Elmwood Projects will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Museums Association Conference & Exhibition, 11-12 November, at the BT Convention Centre in Liverpool, stand no. 59.
