The Glenlivet’s stunning new Visitor Experience

The Glenlivet's stunning new Visitor Experience

We’re very excited to have completed and handed over one of our most prestigious projects of the past year – the new The Glenlivet Distillery Visitor Experience near Ballindalloch in Moray.

The newly-reopened and fully refreshed visitor experience is detailed with touches of true luxury and quality throughout, creating an immersive and unique environment which showcases the best the Distillery has to offer. The visitor experience also gives an insight into the inner workings of the establishment and an opportunity to discover the history behind the world-famous single malt whisky.

With exacting attention to detail a key priority from the start, this unique, bespoke Fit Out has been a labour of love for our team. The Visitor centre underwent a full refurbishment inside and out under management of Elmwood, with an extensive range of works. Our Bespoke joinery items include bottle display walls with integral lighting as well as handcrafted tables, curved display shelving, a feature fireplace and decorative wall panelling.

As part of the Design and fabrication phase of the project our team also created a unique, bespoke display mount for an historic military jacket which was until recently stored at the Scottish Conservation Studio at Hopetoun House.

Extensive in-house sampling and prototyping took place during the early Design stages to meet the client Pernod Ricard’s exacting standards. Befitting a world-class hospitality venue, great care and attention to detail was given to every choice of finishes from paint and veneer to tiling and flooring. Our Project team worked in close collaboration with the Client team and their partners to achieve an outcome which exceeded expectations – including Contract Administrator / Principal Designers Blyth & Blyth, Designer Blacksheep and Quantity Surveyors Thomson Bethune.

The Glenlivet has been a complex fit out with all works carried out within the guidelines of our working protocols under COVID, while the Distillery was still operational. We are now delighted and proud to see the Visitor Experience welcoming its first visitors, and to hear so many positive customer comments.
